What to wear to a Countryside Wedding?

First of all, have the bride and the groom chosen a theme or dress code? Some couples decide to have themed weddings and get married as hippies or Vikings, others will say not to wear a suit or in long dresses and maybe they may ask you to wear jeans and swimsuit. If the wedding you have been invited has no dress code, owe are going to give you some tricks to be the perfect guest.

  • If the wedding is outdoor or in a place with air conditioning, do not forget to wear a jacket or shawl to avoid to get cold.
  • Do not wear glamorous dresses with lots of glitter. In some occasions they may fit, but in general, if it is a wedding in the countryside you may be out of place.
  • Do NOT WEAT WHITE. It is an unwritten rule. White color is for the bride and if you wear white, she may take it badly.
  • If the wedding is at noon, you can wear a light and pastel dress by the knee.
  • If the wedding is at night, you can choose a dress with a little shine and more glamorous.
  • Trousers? Yes, of course. You will wear comfortably, elegantly and chic, why not?
  • Men in suits? It doesn´t have to. Everything depends on the style of the bride and the groom. If the wedding is in the countryside at noon, you can wear some linen slacks and a nice dress shirt.
